Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, is a story of Sal and her road trip from Ohio to Idaho. She takes this trip with her Gram and Gramps to finally see her mother in Lewiston. Idaho. Along the way, Sal tells mysterious storys about her friend, Phoebe Winterbottom. Someone is leaving mysterious notes at the Winterbottoms door, and when Phoebe’s mom goes missing, it’s up to Pheobe and Sal to get to the bottom of everything. Sal also tells storys about her past within these stories. She talks about her old home in Baybanks, Kentucky, and about how happy she was. Just her, her mom and dad, and her dog, Moody Blue. Sal loved her mom so much, so she didn’t understand why her mom would just leave her. Phoebe finds her mom who brings home an older brother, and Sal finds her mom dead in Lewiston. Sal’s Gram also dies along the road, and Sal her dad and Gram move back to Baybanks. Both Sal and Phoebe find that you never know how long you have someone, so you should always treat them the best you can.
I would recomend this book to most people, but probably for people who can relate to Sal or Phoebe because their parent has died or left them. I really liked this book, and I hope other people do too!
