Things Not Seen is a book about a boy named Bobby Philips who likes to take showers in the dark because he thinks its like a extra ten minutes of sleep. And one cold February day he gets out of the shower turns on the bathroom lights and he looks in the mirror. Nothing. That’s exactly what he sees nothing! And so the entire story is how Bobby is trying to figure out how to become normal again. And meets some friends on the way.
I think Andrew Clements did a great job with detail and helping us see what’s going on. He had very descriptive parts in this book. Like in the begging of the story when he was explaining how he realized that he was invisible. I thought that was very descriptive and it was like I was watching a movie or T.V show.
I also liked how he made the readers want to read more. He would like take a problem that he was talking about through out the chapter and when you would least expect at the end for there to be any more there would be a little taste of what the next problem would be in the future chapters.
